Giant Baked Beans
Gigantes plaki: fat butter beans lounging in sweet tomato and dill. Tinned beans get you there in a quarter of an hour, and no Greek yiayia needs to know.

How you make it
Heat the olive oil in a wide frying pan over medium heat and soften the onion for 4 minutes until translucent.
Add the garlic and tomato puree and stir for 1 minute until the puree darkens slightly.
Pour in the tomatoes, honey, oregano, a big pinch of salt and 100ml water, and simmer briskly for 4 minutes to thicken.
Fold in the drained beans and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring rarely so they stay whole, until the sauce clings.
Take off the heat, stir through most of the dill and a final tablespoon of raw olive oil, and scatter the rest of the dill over the top.
